Check out the links pages for some of the cycle couriers operating in the UK at the moment and new ones are arriving all the time. To me, this is genuine direct action on one of the pressing needs of our time. It’s also adding colour and variety to urban streets.

For the past four years I’ve been a cycle courier and have ridden an assortment of bikes and pulled stupid weights round the streets of Brighton in trailers. I feel part qualified at least to offer my opinion on the pros and cons of these vehicles, but there are many I haven’t tried, so comments on the bikes/trailers included, plus others would be appreciated.
